SOAPIFF, short for the Southern Appalachian International Film Festival, is an umbrella over several cinematic genre festivals that take place over a ten-day period in the Tri-Cities of Northeast Tennessee. Each genre’s screen has a curator and distinguished panel of judges to select the best films from around the world. Soapiff has publicized and searched to gather together quality movies to entertain, educate, and enlighten our audiences.
We are a regional institution like no other. We encourage and support all filmmakers no matter their country or state of origin, celebrating their creativity, curiosities, concerns, and gift for storytelling. SOAPIFF encourages filmmakers to bring their production to Southern Applachia.
We also pride ourselves in offering a plethora of glowing international films, some of which are making US or Tennessee premiers. Another unique quality to our festival is that all of SOAPIFF’s film screenings are free to the public with seats available on a first come first serve bases. We invite y’all to come stay in the State of Franklin; enjoy our mountain color by day and techno-color by night with SOAPIFF.
